WANCIDE 411 are several formulations of 5-Chloro-2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one (CIT) /

2-Methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one (MIT) with Bronopol.

Applications and Use Levels:

WANCIDE 411 prevents microbial deterioration of products and the resulting effects such as:

- phase separation

- odor build up

- gas build up

- changes in viscosity

- build up of health threatening toxins

Applications:

WANCIDE 411 products have a rapid mode of action. The optimum pH is from acidic to slightly alkaline. Experience shows that compatibility with most products and raw materials is good, but we recommend testing the compatibility in individual formulations. High pH (> 9) or the presence of certain sulfur containing compounds like mercaptan or dithionite can limit the stability, especially at high temperatures above 45 °C.

Under normal use patterns concentrations (w/w) of 0.05-0.25 % are sufficient in most applications.
