WANCIDE BT20

WANCIDE BT20  is based on the active ingredient 1,2-Benzisothiazolin-3-one.

Applications and Use Levels:

WANCIDE BT20 prevents microbial deterioration of products and the resulting effects

such as:

- phase separation

- foul odor

- gas formation

- change of viscosity

- formation of health threatening toxins

Applications:

In many cases 1,2-Benzisothiazolin-3-one can be used as the only preservative. Depending on the conditions and applications it can be useful to combine it with other biocides to enhance the fungicidal efficacy.

WANCIDE BT20 is highly suitable for the preservation of a wide variety of aqueous products due to their good properties:

- good stability at high pH

- good stability at high temperatures

- low sensitization potential

Experience shows that the compatibility with most products and raw materials is excellent, but we recommend testing the stability in individual formulations.

Product selection:

WANCIDE BT 20D is an aqueous dispersion with 20 % 1,2-Benzisothiazolin-3-one with a low pH.

WANCIDE BT20B is an aqueous- propylene glycol（PG） solution with 20 % 1,2-Benzisothiazolin-3-one.

WANCIDE BT20E is an aqueous- Dipropylene glycol（DPG） solution with 20 % 1,2-Benzisothiazolin-3-one.

Under normal use patterns, concentrations of 0,05 – 0,2 % for a 20 % product in most applications.
